Nigerian Soulful Singer, Bukola Elemide popularly known as Asa has disclosed why she collaborated with Grammy award singer, Wizkid on her fifth studio album.
She made wizkid’s wish come to reality after she collaborated with him on a unique track entitled ‘IDG’ (I Don’t Go)
The 10-track also featured highlife duo, The cavemen on ‘Good times’ and ‘All I ever wanted’ featuring Ghanaian Star, Amaarae .
Asa said there was a friendship between her and wizkid as to why she chose to work with him, “There’s a friendship with Wizkid before the music, we sit down, we have a drink and just talk about all kinds of things— animals and normal things about his life,” she said.
“I thought it (the song) would be great with Wizkid because it fits his temperament, so I sent it to him and he loved it. It was natural. Before we do a song, I want it to be honest. We should have a connection with all these collaborators (on the album), that was what we did.”She explained further.
