An AB Aviation plane with 14 people aboard crashed into the Indian Ocean archipelago on Saturday.
Many feared dead as rescuers in the Comoros scrambled to find survivors from the crash of the AB Aviation plane.
According to Airline AB Aviation who disclosed that its small Cessna plane disappeared from the radar about 2.5 kilometres (1.6 miles) from its destination during its flight between the capital Moroni and the city of Fomboni on the island of Moheli.
In a statement disclosed by the Comorian transport ministry, according to NDTV, “Search operations have begun to find the aircraft’s debris in the coastal area of Djoiezi.”
It was also confirmed by the Comorian Government that the 12 passengers on board were Comorian, while the two pilots were Tanzanian.
