Okeigwe testified on Monday, October 12, before Justice R. A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026.

She faces two counts involving alleged obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

According to the charge, the property is located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki.

The prosecution alleges that she represented the property as hers and leased it to Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited.

The witness said he contacted the defendant after problems arose over the property, he alleged that she denied knowing a man identified as Mr Tom, who reportedly arrived with police officers.

Okeigwe said some of his workers were arrested during the incident, he added that he paid ₦100,000 to secure their release.

“I informed the defendant, and she claimed she did not know Mr Tom. I paid N100,000 to secure the release of my workers.

Blessing still maintained that she did not know Mr Tom and that she was the owner of the property,” he said.

He said the messages were presented as evidence supporting her claim of ownership.

Okeigwe further told the court that he paid additional agency, legal and caution fees.

He maintained that the alleged misrepresentation concerned ownership of the property.

He also claimed that the defendant collected money from him and another person for the same property.

The Blessing CEO ₦69.15 million case remains before the court; the allegations have not been established as proven facts, and the defendant has pleaded not guilty.
