Court Issues Warrant as Alleged Fake Presidential Council DG Is Arrested

A twist unfolded in Abuja after the self-acclaimed Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, was arrested shortly after a Federal High Court issued a warrant for his arrest.

The development came after Adeyemi failed to appear before the court for his scheduled arraignment despite his case being listed for a hearing.

Furthermore, the case has raised questions about how such activities may have continued before legal action was taken.

According to reports, Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered Adeyemi’s arrest after he failed to appear in court to answer an eight-count charge.

The case, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, reportedly involves allegations bordering on forgery, fraud, and impersonation.

Although the matter appeared as number 12 on the court’s cause list, the defendant was absent when the case was called.

However, a lawyer identified as Mr. Genesis Francis informed the court that he was appearing on behalf of the defendant.

Despite the legal representation, Adeyemi’s absence prompted the court to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Moments later, according to TVC, he was arrested, bringing an unexpected turn to the legal proceedings.

Forgery, fraud, and impersonation remain serious criminal offences under Nigerian law.

Therefore, authorities continue to warn members of the public against dealing with individuals or organizations whose identities cannot be verified through official government channels.

Meanwhile, investigations into the allegations are expected to continue as prosecutors prepare to present their case before the court.
