Nigerian music scene was rocked on Monday night after DJ Tunez and Burna Boy allegedly clashed at Obi’s House nightclub.
Videos circulating online show the disc jockey on the floor while tensions reportedly escalated.
Eyewitnesses claim that the confrontation began when Burna Boy spotted DJ Tunez, approached him calmly, and suddenly threw the first punch. The fight quickly drew attention, as members of Burna Boy’s team joined in.
“One blow mistakenly hit Dbanj, who accidentally found himself caught in the middle of the blows,” an eyewitness recounted. “Burna quickly ran from his goons, held Dbanj, and somehow punched Tunez at the back of his head again.”
The incident reportedly saw DJ Tunez retaliating with a strike, though Burna Boy’s entourage reportedly overpowered him. Meanwhile, attempts were made to restrain Burna Boy, but the altercation continued for several minutes.
Eyewitness footage shows DJ Tunez lying on the ground, wearing his customised ‘Number 1’ shirt, while others tried to intervene.
Reports indicate that the exact cause of the fight remains unclear. However, speculation is rife on social media, with clips gaining widespread attention and sparking debates among fans. “Omo, last night was a show of muscle,” one source commented online.
DJ Tunez is widely known as a long-time associate of Wizkid and has frequently expressed admiration for the Afrobeats star, referring to him as Nigeria’s number one artiste.
No official statements have yet been issued by either DJ Tunez or Burna Boy regarding the alleged fight. Meanwhile, online discussions continue to circulate.
