Brazilian football star Neymar has been excluded from the national team squad ahead of key World Cup warm-up matches. Brazil is set to face France and Croatia later this month. However, the absence of Neymar has quickly become the biggest talking point among fans and analysts. The decision comes at a critical time as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to team officials, Neymar was not included due to fitness issues. The forward recently missed a match for Santos FC because of muscle fatigue. This development appears to have influenced the coaching staff’s decision. The player was expected to be assessed closely before the final squad list was announced.

However, that opportunity was missed due to his condition. Brazil’s coach made it clear that the player’s current fitness level remains a concern.

“Neymar can be at the World Cup if he’s 100%,” Ancelotti said. “I didn’t call him up because he’s not 100%. Neymar has to be training and playing.”

Meanwhile, Neymar has reacted to the decision with disappointment. Speaking during an event in Sao Paulo, the football star admitted the situation was difficult. Despite the setback, he remains hopeful about the future. He said, “But I remain focused, day after day, training session after training session, match after match. We will achieve our goal. The dream continues.”

His response shows determination to return stronger. Meanwhile, Brazil is preparing for two important friendly matches. The team will face France on March 26 in Boston. In addition, they will take on Croatia on March 31 in Orlando.

These matches are seen as crucial tests ahead of the World Cup. Therefore, the squad selection has been carefully planned. Several top players have been included across all positions. The team features strong options in defence, midfield, and attack.

The current squad includes experienced and young players. Goalkeepers like Alisson and Ederson are expected to play key roles. In defence, players such as Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhaes provide stability.

Meanwhile, the attack features rising stars and established names like Vinicius Jr and Raphinha. The Neymar left out of Brazil squad decision has added uncertainty to Brazil’s World Cup plans. However, officials remain optimistic about his return if he regains full fitness.
