The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the screening will run daily from March 9 to April 18. However, candidates are expected to arrive early as the process will start at exactly 7:00 a.m. The announcement was made in a statement issued in Lagos by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi.

According to Adebisi, the exercise is strictly for candidates who completed the online registration successfully. She explained that the screening is meant for applicants applying as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.

Moreover, the exercise is specifically for applicants who are indigenes of Lagos State. Adebisi said candidates must appear at the venue in proper attire.

“They must be dressed in a clean white T-shirt and shorts,” she stated.

In addition, several documents must be presented during the exercise. According to her, the documents must be neatly arranged in two white flat files.

“Among the required documents is the invitation slip indicating the assigned table, credential screening form, original National Identity Number printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission.

“Others are O’ Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and Local Government or State of Origin certificate.

“Specialist applicants are additionally required to present their trade test certificates.

“Applicants must also submit a duly completed and signed guarantors’ form with attached photocopies and passport photographs of referees,” she said.

Furthermore, applicants must ensure their documents are properly arranged. Adebisi explained that both the original and duplicate copies must be packaged separately. Recent passport photographs must also be attached to each file.

However, she warned that failure to meet these requirements will lead to automatic disqualification.

According to her, candidates without the complete documents will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise. Meanwhile, applicants have been urged to follow their assigned schedules carefully. She advised candidates to attend the exercise only on the dates allocated to them.

This, she said, will help ensure an orderly and transparent process. In addition, the command stressed that the recruitment exercise remains completely free. Adebisi therefore warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters.

She emphasised that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment. According to her, the process will be conducted strictly on merit. Therefore, anyone demanding money from applicants should be reported immediately.

The spokesperson also encouraged candidates to remain patient and disciplined during the exercise. Meanwhile, security officials are expected to monitor the exercise closely throughout the screening period.
