Morata Confirms Marriage Is Over After Failed Reconciliation

The Alvaro Morata separation has taken a fresh turn after the former Chelsea striker confirmed that his marriage to Alice Campello is finally over.

However, those hopes have now faded. Morata, 33, admitted that despite their efforts, the relationship could not be saved.

The Spanish international made the emotional confession during an interview, stressing that both he and Campello are hurting.

Reflecting on the breakdown of their marriage, Morata said, “We are suffering because we are two people who love each other, but we don’t understand each other.”

The couple first announced their split in August 2024, shortly after Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph. They had been married for seven years and share four children together.

In January, reports suggested they had rekindled their romance. However, the reunion has now ended.

Speaking further, Morata made it clear that the pain is shared. “Alice isn’t having a worse time than me because many people say she’s the one who’s hurting. I want to make it clear that we’re both hurting, it’s not that she’s bitter, we’re both hurting.”

Meanwhile, Spanish magazine Hola reported that Morata has moved out of the family home in Milan. The home was shared with Campello and their children, Alessandro, Leonardo, Edoardo, and Bella. Although they are living apart, it is said that they have kept things respectful for the sake of their kids.

Moreover, rumours circulated in Spain claiming Morata had an affair with sports management expert Elena Sirigu. The striker strongly denied those allegations. He described the claims as heartless and false.

“No special friend or anything like that, I’m not interested in that right now,” he said. Furthermore, he added, “The day I have a special friend, I’ll walk around with her normally, and you’ll see.”

Morata also addressed those spreading the rumours directly. “People who claim there are third parties involved in a separation like this, especially with children involved, simply have no heart.”

The Alvaro Morata separation marks a difficult chapter for the Como striker, who is currently on loan from AC Milan.

In addition, the couple’s journey has drawn attention because of their high-profile love story. They met during Morata’s earlier football years and built a family admired by many fans.
