Elon Musk reappeared in a fresh release of the Epstein files, sparking renewed attention and debate online.
Newly disclosed documents show a 2013 email exchange between the Tesla and SpaceX CEO and the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, centring on a possible visit to Epstein’s private island.
According to the records, the exchange took place in December 2013, during the holiday season.
In the email, Musk reportedly told Epstein he would be in the British Virgin Islands and asked whether it would be a good time to visit the island.
The documents show that Epstein replied two days later, saying Musk could come at the start of the new year. In his response, Epstein wrote that there was “always space for you.” He followed up again on Christmas Day, offering to pick Musk up on January 2 or January 3.
Musk initially responded that he would need to return to Los Angeles on the night of January 2.
However, he later suggested that he could instead arrive on January 1. Epstein then replied that any date between January 1 and January 8 would work, adding that they could “play it by ear.”
Despite the exchange, the documents do not confirm whether Musk ever visited the island.

In September, during an earlier release of Epstein-related documents, Musk’s name also appeared.
At the time, he reacted publicly on social media, stating: “Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED.”
However, the newly released emails suggest that discussions about a visit may have gone further than previously understood. Nevertheless, no evidence has been presented to show that the trip actually took place. Therefore, the issue remains unresolved and open to interpretation.
Meanwhile, Epstein, a disgraced financier with powerful connections, died by suicide in 2019 while in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.
He was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges at the time of his death. Since then, periodic document releases have continued to reveal names of high-profile individuals linked to him, often reigniting public scrutiny.
Moreover, the resurfacing of Musk’s name highlights how the Epstein files continue to have wide-reaching implications.
Musk has reportedly been contacted for comment regarding the latest document release. As of now, no response has been issued.
