Chelsea have moved quickly to end growing speculation around Cole Palmer’s future, firmly stating that the England attacker is not for sale.
The development comes as reports linked the 23-year-old with a surprise move to Manchester United, sparking debate among fans and pundits.
The rumours suggested Palmer was feeling homesick and open to a return to Manchester.
However, senior figures at Stamford Bridge have described such claims as unexpected and misleading.
The club reportedly sees Palmer as a key pillar of their long-term project.
Since arriving from Manchester City in 2023, Palmer’s rise at Chelsea has been remarkable.
He has become one of the most consistent performers in the squad. Moreover, his numbers underline his importance, with 41 Premier League goals and 19 assists already credited to his name.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have internally labelled Palmer as “untouchable.” Therefore, no offers are being considered, regardless of interest from rivals.
The report adds that the club expects Palmer to remain in west London for the foreseeable future.
Importantly, Chelsea sources insist there has been no formal sign of unrest from the player.

In addition, the narrative around homesickness is said to be speculative. Those close to the club believe it does not reflect Palmer’s true feelings.
Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior also addressed the rumours directly. Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash with Crystal Palace, he dismissed suggestions of any tension.
“I’ve had numerous conversations with Cole and he seems very, very happy to be here,” Rosenior said. “He is very, very happy to be here.
“He’s a huge part of our plans in the long term. He’s an outstanding player.”
Rosenior further explained Palmer’s limited appearances this season.
However, he made it clear the issue was physical, not personal. The forward has been dealing with a groin problem. As a result, he has featured in just 12 league games.
“He was frustrated because he couldn’t perform to the level he wanted to,” Rosenior added.
“He was in pain. That’s why I didn’t involve him in the last game.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea remain focused on their season goals.
The club continues to rebuild, with attention on defensive and midfield reinforcements. However, the Cole Palmer transfer rumours are not part of internal discussions.
Furthermore, Palmer is expected to play a major role once fully fit. His influence remains central to Chelsea’s plans.
Therefore, despite external noise and Manchester United interest, the message from Stamford Bridge is clear.
