The Kwara State Police Command confirmed that the attack happened around 6 p.m. on 18 November.

However, at least one worshipper was killed, while several others were kidnapped before the attackers fled.

The rising insecurity in the region has once again placed Nigeria’s safety challenges in the spotlight.

In addition, rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, took to his X page to voice deep frustration.

His statement, which has stirred debate online, included a strong call for the President to step aside.

He wrote: “How many more people have to be kidnapped and murdered in cold blood? How many more lives do you want to waste? How many more futures do you wish to erase with your incompetence and inaction?”

Falz argued that the President had failed to show real commitment to protecting Nigerians.

Therefore, he ended his message with a direct call for resignation, stating: “You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. RESIGN NOW!”

Meanwhile, gospel artiste Dunsin Oyekan also reacted to the killings.

He described the attack as extremely cruel and questioned the government’s handling of security.

Furthermore, he expressed his grief on X, saying: “May the Lord judge the enemies of this nation once and for all in this season. These killings are too much, senseless, and cruel! Psalm 82’1-8 is my prayer in this season. And we have a government abi?????”

The dominating public discussion took another turn as comedian and activist Mr. Macaroni joined the chorus of criticism.

On 18 November 2025, he posted a fiery message online, calling the government “useless and irresponsible.”

He highlighted recent tragedies, including the killing of a military general and the kidnapping of school children.

He wrote: “This is a very useless and irresponsible government feasting on the blood of innocent Nigerians! As in I don’t understand, school children have been kidnapped, a general killed, and everything is fine??? Why should any part of this country be occupied by terrorists? In any civilized country, Tinubu should resign!”

Mr. Macaroni’s comment, which has since gone viral, added more pressure to the ongoing national conversation.
