In a surprising turn of events, popular Nigerian TikTok influencer Jarvis has officially confirmed her engagement to fellow content creator, Peller.
The news came months after she had initially dismissed the proposal in a live video, calling the ring a “promise ring” and denying any relationship.
However, during a recent interview with Channels TV, Jarvis cleared the air about their current relationship status.
“It’s true that we are engaged. He actually proposed to me,” she revealed.
The social media star, who is 23, had earlier seemed unsure of the proposal, which happened in December 2024.
Her fiancé, Peller, was only 19 at the time.
The engagement had sparked wide discussions on social media, with many fans speculating whether the proposal was genuine or just part of a content strategy.
While speaking on the show, she explained that although she kept the ring, it didn’t fit her finger. “But the ring doesn’t fit, so I kept it safe at home,” she said.
The TikTok influencer further explained why she initially acted the way she did.
She believed that marriage is something that shouldn’t be rushed and needs to be planned carefully.
“I believe we’ll get married at the right time because marriage is a big deal and needs careful consideration,” she added.
Meanwhile, her feelings for Peller didn’t start out as love at first sight.
Jarvis admitted that she doubted they were compatible due to his online behavior.
“I didn’t think we’d match at all,” she confessed. “But offline, he’s actually a cool person.”
