Israel Hits Key Nuclear Sites in Iran as ‘Operation Rising Lion’ Begins

The escalating tension in the Middle East has taken a shocking turn as Israel confirmed a full-scale military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a live broadcast from Jerusalem on Friday morning, revealed that Israel has launched Operation Rising Lion, marking a bold and dangerous move in the region’s long-standing conflict.

“This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat,” Netanyahu said in his televised address.

The Israeli leader stressed that the strikes were a direct response to what he called an “existential threat” posed by Iran’s growing nuclear ambitions.

According to Netanyahu, Israeli forces specifically targeted Iran’s main enrichment facility in Natanz, its nuclear scientists, and key figures in its ballistic missile program.

“We struck at the head of Iran’s nuclear weaponization program,” he said. “We also struck at the heart of Iran’s ballistic missile program.”

Israel-Iran tension has always simmered, but this latest move by Tel Aviv signals a deepening crisis that could spiral out of control.

Moreover, Netanyahu didn’t limit the threat to just Israel.

“In defending ourselves, we also defend others,” he noted.

“We defend our Arab neighbors. They, too, have suffered from Iran’s campaign of chaos and carnage.”

The Israeli government claims that Iran has been secretly working on developing a nuclear weapon.

While international reports have remained cautious, Netanyahu said Iran could soon have the ability to build a functional nuclear device if unchecked.

The airstrikes have yet to receive a public response from Tehran.
