Nigerian music icon Burna Boy has shocked fans with an emotional revelation, announcing the symbolic death of his self-given title, African Giant.

According to the Grammy-winning artist, the once-bold version of himself known as ‘African Giant’ no longer exists.
He said the persona was destroyed by those closest to him. “The ‘African Giant’ BURNA BOY died. His own people killed him,” the singer wrote in the emotionally charged message.

“Then ‘BIG 7’ was born to protect what was left of ‘BURNA BOY’,” he added.
