Jumoke George Cries Out: “I’ve Been Homeless, Sick for Six Years”

Veteran Nollywood actress, Jumoke George, has reached out to the public with an emotional plea for financial assistance as she battles serious health issues and homelessness.

In a heartfelt interview shared by her colleague, Biola Bayo, the actress opened up about her current condition.

Jumoke George, known for her past iconic roles in the Yoruba movie industry, revealed she has been homeless for six years and currently lives in a church.

Speaking through tears, she admitted that she can no longer bear the pain and hardship.

“Please I need help. I’m tired, and I can’t bear it any longer,” she said. “I have been homeless for six years, and currently living in the church.”

She added that her survival mostly depends on the kindness of the church.

“Most times it’s the mummy in the church that feeds me. I have nothing to call my own,” she said, highlighting the severity of her situation.

Moreover, the actress disclosed that her health has worsened.

She explained that after undergoing several tests in the past, she is now in urgent need of a brain and heart test estimated to cost N400,000.

“I have been sick. I have done different tests in the past, and now I need to go for brain and heart tests which is N400,000. I don’t know where to get it from,” she stated.

Jumoke George further shared that she suffers sleepless nights due to constant pain.

“I can’t sleep because I am always in pain. Everything is wrong with me,” she lamented.

Her vulnerability in sharing such a painful reality reflects the silent struggles many actors face once the spotlight dims.

Meanwhile, fans and well-meaning Nigerians are being called upon to extend any form of support possible.

Jumoke George seeks help not just for her health, but also for basic survival.
