Veteran Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has revealed that acting may have saved her from becoming something completely different and much darker.
In a recent interview posted on Pulse Nigeria TV’s official YouTube channel, the popular actress opened up about how her emotional nature could have led her down a dangerous path if not for film.
The emotional tension that comes with everyday life, especially in a society full of struggles, was clearly highlighted by the star.
She shared that acting has not only given her a career but has also helped her manage her emotions in a healthy way.
When asked what she could have been doing if she were not an actress, Bimbo replied frankly.

“I would have become a serial killer if I didn’t choose to become an actress.
Film making releases a lot of emotional tensions in me because I give everything when I’m on a movie set.
Our society has a lot of things that one would get angry about,” she said.
Her journey shows that finding the right outlet, like acting or any passion-driven activity, could be the key to staying grounded and avoiding harmful decisions.
“Film making releases a lot of emotional tensions in me,” she repeated, proving that passion can become healing.
