Some relatives of the Lagos train crash victims have shown up at the premises of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. The relatives started donating blood for those in critical condition.
It has been reported that several people were injured after a passenger train crushed a Lagos State Government staff bus on its way from Ikotun en route Alausa, the state secretariat, at the PWD area Ikeja on Thursday morning at 7am.
Already, six persons have been confirmed dead by emergency responders, and over 82 persons injured and rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja. Forty two with moderate injuries, 29 with serious injuries while eight have mild injuries.
The Governor of the State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, sympathised with victims there by declaring three days of mourning in Lagos state in respect of the victims of the train accident.
