Some said gunmen had attacked the family house of the Divisional Police Officer for Dutsi under Katsina State Police Command on Monday killing his mother and younger brother in the process.
The spokesman of the command,SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident.Isah said “The incident is true but we don’t have details yet. Our officers have already gone there but I cannot say more than this for now.”Details of the attack were still sketchy on Tuesday.
It was learnt that the DPO whose name was not disclosed for security reasons was said to be on duty when the terrorists stormed his family house. 
Sources also disclosed that the two victims were buried according to Islamic rites on Tuesday.Meanwhile, the police have arrested a 20-year-old man, Murtala Amme, who allegedly belonged to the camp of a notorious terrorist said to be on the police wanted list, one Kamilu Buzaru.
Also, a 35- year-old man, Ibrahim Dayyabu, of Gobirawa village, Maidabino, Danmusa Local Government Area, alleged to be a terrorist is now in the police custody.
The police alleged that members of the camp were those terrorising communities in Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.“In the course of investigation, Dayyabu confessed to belong to the camp of a notorious terrorist known as Mani Doro and has brought over seven motorcycles for the terrorists. Investigation is ongoing on his case,”police spokesman said
