Ogun Speaker, others arraigned in court for alleged fraud

Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker, Olakunle oluomo alongside three others Messrs Oluomo, Samuel Oladayo, and Taiwo Adeyemo as their names implies has been arraigned before the Federal High Court,Lagos under Justice Daniel Osiagor by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

11-count charge preferred against them were read bordering on conspiracy, forgery and stealing from public treasury over N2.47 billion but they pleaded not guilty to the charges .

Although ,the fourth accused, Nimota-Amoke Adeyanju, is still on the run.

Ruling on their bail applications, Justice Daniel Osiagor granted the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo bail in the sum of N300 million with two sureties, while the 2nd and 3rd Defendants, Oladayo Samuel, Adeyemo Taiwo were granted bail in the sum of N100 million with two sureties in like sum.

He then ordered the defendants to be remanded at the custody of the EFCC for a period of one week following which they would be transferred to the Nigerian Correctional Centre at Abeokuta, if they failed to fullfil thier bail condition.
