Popular social critic Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has disclosed that hackers infiltrated his NGO’s website and illegally moved N180 million from its account.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, VDM expressed his distress over the incident, confirming that the police have already launched an investigation into the breach. 
He revealed that one of the suspected hackers has been apprehended in Jos, Plateau State, and further investigations are ongoing.
“I would be honest with you guys. For the past few days, I have not been myself. Somebody hacked into the NGO website, and I don’t know how they did it. N180 million is missing.
Thankfully, we’ve tracked the person, and we are on our way to Jos. They have arrested one. The account has been put on PND (Post No Debit). The account now has N20 million,” he explained.
VDM also stated that he had temporarily shut down the NGO’s app for maintenance to prevent further attacks.
The Martins Vincent Otse Initiative, which was launched in October 2024 and received over N33 million in donations within 24 hours—including N100 million from Don Jazzy—has promised to keep the public updated as investigations progress.
