The candidates, Dr. Ajibola Falaye of the Accord Party, Jenyo Ataunoko of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Olaide Rasheed Ibrahim, the deputy governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), announced their decision during a solidarity visit to Aiyedatiwa on Thursday in Akure.

Falaye, speaking on behalf of the group, commended Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and commitment to public service, citing infrastructural development and the governor’s open-door policy as key reasons for their endorsement.

“We have been watching him, and his doors are always open to all.

The state has been experiencing relative peace under his watch, which reflects his commitment to safeguarding the lives of our people,” Falaye remarked.

He also acknowledged the governor’s notable achievements within a short time, emphasizing their shared desire for continuity.

“This Saturday, we will turn our commitment into votes. We will vote for continuity in Ondo State,” he added, urging their supporters to back Aiyedatiwa for the betterment of the state.

Responding to the endorsement, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for their decision, which he described as an act of goodwill and a reflection of their dedication to the people of Ondo State.

“I didn’t call for this, but I am grateful that my colleagues in the race have voluntarily identified with my mandate and are ready to mobilize their supporters to vote for the APC,” he said.

Their actions highlight a shared commitment to prioritizing the peace and progress of Ondo State over personal ambitions, a move widely seen as a responsible and commendable gesture.
