Three governors of the All Progressives Congress -Babajide Sanwo-Olu , Lagos, Rotimi Akeredolu ,Ondo and Kayode Fayemi ,Ekiti has made a visit to the Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike on Friday.
Following the fallout from the party’s presidential primary in May ,the photos of the governors’ visit went viral on social media on Friday with many suggesting that the visit was to woo Mr Wike to support the party in the forthcoming presidential election.Trouble has been brewing in the opposition party ,PDP since the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar sidestepped Mr Wike who recommended Delta governor Ifeanyi Okowa to tap as his running mate.
Mr Wike, a talksome promoter of the PDP has maintained studied silence, keeping away from party matters.Recently, he has been holding talks with opposition figures such as Ebonyi governor Dave Umahi, Kano politician, Rabiu Kwakwanso and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
