A violent protest occurred on Wednesday, the 15th of February at Ring Road, King square, Benin City in Edo State, over the scarcity of new Naira notes.
In a viral video, a man in the background stated that his plan was to go to the Central Bank to deposit money but unfortunately saw huge protesters raging over the naira scarcity.
In the same video voices of a man and woman was heard chanting “Give us our money, we need our money” speaking vernacular.
Still on the case, an unidentified dead male was carried in a wheelbarrow after being shot and was taken to the front of CBN office in Benin City.
Similar incidence happened in some states over the same reason.
