The Lagos State Government gave suspension to the activities of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).The State Governor condemns the action following the bloody fight by members in clashes at Iyana Iba and Lagos Island areas .Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Adviser on Transportation, Sola Giwa, stated this adding that the government would not allow the situation to degenerate.
It was gathered that part of the demand of some aggrieved members is the removal of RTEAN President, Musa Mohammed (Maitakobi). The official however announced the appointment of a 35-member caretaker committee for RTEAN.The team is headed by Sulaiman Adeshina Raji while Bamgbose Oluseyi is the deputy chairman.
