President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to the youth, stating that every decision he has made, including the removal of the fuel subsidy, is aimed at securing their future.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Planning Committee for the National Youth Conference at the State House, Abuja, Tinubu emphasized that his policies are focused on long-term benefits for young Nigerians.
He reassured them that their welfare and prosperity remain a top priority.
“I want to reassure you that you are the hope of this country, and everything hangs on you. Every decision that I have taken is about you. It’s about the future,” the President stated.
The removal of the fuel subsidy, he explained, was a difficult but necessary step to ensure economic stability and create a foundation for youth empowerment.
According to him, sustaining the subsidy would have further drained national resources, limiting opportunities for future generations.

“When we removed the fuel subsidy, it was because we wanted to protect your future. We have cleared the path for you to have a great future,” Tinubu added.
Furthermore, the President highlighted the importance of creating a conducive environment for young professionals, many of whom have been leaving the country in search of better opportunities.
“When you listen to most professionals leaving Nigeria, there’s a cause. If you grow prosperity back home and empower people, they will not bother leaving. They will stay home,” he said.
The economic challenges currently facing the country, he acknowledged, are tough, but he urged Nigerians to see the bigger picture.
Moreover, Tinubu assured young Nigerians that his administration is implementing policies that will foster job creation, improve education, and strengthen the economy
However, he assured that sacrifices made today will result in long-term benefits, leading to a more prosperous future.
