Gunmen, on Tuesday, set ablaze the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Idemili south LGA of Anambra State.
In a statement on Wednesday, Festus Okoye, INEC’s commissioner for information and voter education, said 729 ballot boxes, 243 voting cubicles, 256 election bags, 11 megaphones, one electric power generator were destroyed during the attack.“Large quantities of indelible ink and liquid gum” were also destroyed in the inferno.
