The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has put accusation on the two opposition parties, APC and PDP for debuting character assassination campaign against him and his party.
In series of tweets on Thursday,the presidential candidate said it had become evident that the opposition parties had developed negative strategy for alluding fake news and misinformation in social media,blaming him and his party for it.He said he and his party remained resolute to their commitment to an issue-based and clean campaign. He therefore added that he would also repudiate all ways of deceit and calumny meant to create disaffection among Nigeria’s voting population.
“As we approach the official kick off of the 2023 election campaign, it has become evident that the oppositions have adopted a negative strategy of trolling and insinuating fake news and misinformation in the social media space and blaming the Labour Party, its presidential candidate and their supporters of same.“We remain resolute in our commitment to an issue-based and clean campaign.“We will also rebuff all such ploys of deceit and calumny meant to create disaffection among Nigeria’s voting population, who desire credible leadership change.“he tweeted.
