In a statement released Monday, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, Attorney General of Ondo State, confidently projected a sweeping victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all 18 local government areas in the upcoming Ondo governorship election on September 16.
Ajulo emphasized that the election is “not merely a contest; it is a certainty,” expressing his unwavering support for incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s re-election.
He highlighted that continuity in leadership, stability, and progress are the core values motivating the people’s choice, adding that “Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has ignited a fire of hope, and together, we will carry this flame forward.”
Ajulo’s statement, titled “November 16 is a Lucky Day,” underscored his view of the APC’s trajectory as grounded in “the collective will of the people who seek continuity.”
Meanwhile, he critiqued the opposition party, alleging that it faces internal discord and mass defections due to unresolved past controversies surrounding its candidate.
“With members defecting en masse to the APC, it’s evident that the PDP’s foundation has crumbled,” he remarked, asserting that the election is not only about selecting a leader but also about choosing a future based on integrity.
Ajulo called on the sons and daughters of Ondo State to focus on the future of the state and make decisions that will avoid past mistakes and “reflect the true will and strength of the people.”
