“No Reward, No Respect!” – Actor Alapini Blasts Tinubu After 2023 Support

Veteran actor Ganiu Nofiu, popularly known as Alapini Oosa, has voiced his deep disappointment over what he sees as neglect by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a recently circulated video, the actor expressed regret about backing Tinubu during the 2023 general elections, despite his commitment and tireless campaign efforts.

According to Alapini, he was among over a hundred entertainers who supported the president across the country, even in remote regions.

However, he now feels used and forgotten. “We thought our messiah had come,” he said, highlighting the emotional investment many entertainers made in Tinubu’s candidacy.

The veteran lamented the lack of recognition or compensation for their work, especially for those who risked their reputation for the campaign.

His frustration reflects a growing sentiment among some entertainers and grassroots supporters who feel left behind after the elections.

Alapini referenced fellow actor Olaiya Igwe, who famously went to extreme lengths to support Tinubu, including a viral moment at a beach where he appeared unclad while praying for the candidate’s victory.

Despite this bold act, Alapini claims Olaiya also remains unrewarded.

“How many hospitals has Seyi Tinubu visited in Yorubaland?” Alapini asked, directing attention to the perceived detachment of the president’s family from the challenges facing ordinary Nigerians.

His question underscores the frustration of many who expected Tinubu’s victory to usher in personal and national change.

Furthermore, he warned that continued silence from the administration might have political consequences in future elections.

“Maybe what people will get for the 2027 re-election campaign is curses,” he added in a scathing remark.

His regrets now echo a broader feeling of betrayal among those who hoped their loyalty would open doors or lead to national progress.
