In the video, he appeared disheveled and visibly struggling. When asked if he once acted on Disney Channel, he calmly corrected the fan. “Nickelodeon,” Chase said, before confirming his role on “Ned’s Declassified.”

The clip spread quickly across TikTok and X, therefore triggering emotional reactions from fans who grew up watching the show.

Many expressed disbelief that a former child star could end up living on the streets.

Moreover, the video was later discussed by Chase’s former co-stars Devon Werkheiser, Daniel Curtis Lee, and Lindsey Shaw on their podcast, Ned’s Declassified Survival Guide.

Daniel Curtis Lee admitted the news was difficult to process. “There was some bad news that I received earlier this week about our dear friend Tylor Chase. It was a lot to process for me,” he said.

He added that his first reaction was anger. “When I first saw, I was angry, because I was like, why put a camera on someone’s face in hard times?”

However, his emotions later shifted. “But then I was upset with myself because I feel powerless because there’s not much that I felt I could do,” Daniel explained.

He also admitted he struggled to accept the reality at first. “I didn’t want to believe it at first… but then I saw some other videos, and it looks like a brother is going through some stuff.”

Meanwhile, Lindsey Shaw shared her own heartbreak. “You can’t do much, but I would love to go speak with him and just love on him and look him in the eye. I miss Tylor, I love Tylor so, so much,” she said.

Devon Werkheiser also described the situation as painful. “It is painful and shocking to see where he is currently at,” he said, noting how hard it was to see someone from such a special time struggling.

Fans echoed these emotions online. One wrote, “This actually breaks my heart,” while another said, “This made me so sad.”

In addition, a GoFundMe page was created after the video went viral. However, it was later shut down by Chase’s mother.

She explained clearly, “Tylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it.” She added that money would not help him manage his condition.

Therefore, the story of former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase homeless has become a sobering reminder of the pressures faced by child actors.
