Speculations surrounding the paternity of Liam Aloba, the son of late singer Mohbad, have taken a fresh turn, as Spending, a close friend of the late artist, has publicly debunked viral claims suggesting he could be the child’s biological father.
The rumours gained ground after a popular blogger posted a photo comparison of Spending and Liam, claiming the two shared an “uncanny resemblance.”

The post quickly went viral, stirring debates and renewing online attention on the already controversial subject of Liam’s paternity, which has remained in the spotlight since Mohbad’s untimely death in 2023.
However, Spending, clearly disturbed by the allegations, took to his Instagram story to strongly reject the claims, describing them as false and damaging.

He stated, “I’ve seen several bloggers insinuating I’m Liam’s father. This is not a joke for real!! To set the record straight, I’m not his father and never had any affectionate relationship with his mother. Y’all need to stop spreading these false narratives.”
Moreover, Spending expressed his willingness to undergo a DNA test to put the issue to rest. “I’m happy to have a DNA done if required,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Mohbad’s son’s DNA test request has made headlines.
Meanwhile, social media has since been flooded with messages urging bloggers and influencers to act responsibly.
He further urged the public to stop dragging innocent people into unfounded controversy and to allow Mohbad’s legacy to be respected.
