Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has skipped training at Atalanta, escalating his push for a summer exit.
The 2023/24 UEFA Europa League hero was absent on Monday, days after officially submitting a transfer request to leave the club.
His absence comes amid rising tension between Lookman and Atalanta’s management over a proposed move to Inter Milan, which has so far failed to materialize.
According to Punch, Inter Milan submitted a bid of €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses, which was rejected by Atalanta.
The Serie A side is reportedly holding out for a minimum of €50 million to release their star winger.

Lookman, who is eager to join Cristian Chivu’s squad at Inter, has grown increasingly frustrated by the stalled negotiations.
Over the weekend, he took a bold step by filing an official transfer request, openly criticizing the club for blocking what he sees as a career-defining opportunity.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, “Ademola Lookman didn’t show up for training today as he keeps insisting on his plan to leave Atalanta. Atalanta maintains their position. No way to let him go for €42m plus €3m proposal rejected last week. No fresh bid from Inter so far.”
Lookman’s decision to skip training may be a signal that the situation is becoming difficult to manage behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s pursuit of the African Player of the Year appears to be firm, though no improved bid has been submitted as of the time of writing.
