The king of Reggae Majek Fashek is dead. His manager Omenka Uzoma announced the news on Fashek’s official Instagram handle.
Omenka said, ” Today I’ve been having pressure calls, well it is true that the African No 1 Legendary Icon has gone to be with the Lord his Maker. Let’s celebrate him, his achievements and his family. Any decisions made by his family will be notified.”
Majek posted a picture of him looking healthy 5days ago on his Instagram page, and his caption reads, “Oh God of the Right heal our land….. After the rain let sun shine upon us all… say amen and Jah remove us from all pandemic and evil politicians Amen”
Majek Fashek died at age 71, he was born on the 6th of February 1949.
He was married to Rita Fashek and had four kids before they divorced in 2015.
