I politely reject gay actors when they approach me- Ayo Silver laments

Popular Nigerian Actor, Animashaun Olanrewaju Busayomi generally known as Ayo Silver Animashaun disclosed how male admirers pester to get intimate with him in an interview with Priscimedia. He also narrated how he was tied to an iroko tree and visited by ants and termites while shooting a movie.

Ayo added that the director and production manager got into a heated argument which lasted for hours while he was being tied as a ‘culprit’ in the tree during the movie shoot.

A:“My name is Ayo silver Animashaun { ANIMASHAUN OLANREWAJU AKINBUSAYOMI}.”

Q:“How long have you been in the entertainment industry? ”

A:“Since 2006 till date {approximately 17 years}”

Q:“Can you recall the number of films you’ve featured in?”

A:“Honestly I can not remember how many.”

Q:“What movie brought you to limelight?”

A:“A movie by Gbenga Okunola as directed by muphy Afolabi – EJE ATI WURA (BLOOD AND GOLD) year 2009. That was a movie produced by Tayo adeniyi IPinlese .”

Q:“Which is the most challenging movie you’ve acted?”

A:“I was tied to an iroko tree as a culprit and the director and production manager had argument that lasted for about an hour plus and I was visited by soldier ants and termites all through.”

Q:“What are the challenges faced as an actor?”

A:“Challenges faced as an actor are numerous and mostly varies greatly by whom you are Ranges from females fans seeking attention physically and on social media platforms, freedom restrictions of not expected to move freely or buy things you want freely without paying the street for every encounter e.t.c ”

Q:“We hear nollywood has so many associations, which do you belong?”

A:“TAMPAN”

Q:“Is it true you have to belong to an association before you get movie roles?”

A:“Oh well that is not true, just be good at what you do and automatically your skills would earn you roles .”

Q:“Do you act English movies too?”

A:“Yes I do English. I had once worked with next movie stars and featured in so many English soaps.”

Q:“Have you ever been approached by a male admirer in the industry romantically?”

A:“Male admirers yes severally.”

Q:“How did you handle the situation?”

A:“ I always make it open that I am straight and that is what I choose. No hard feelings and no disrespect to anyone.”

Q:“What are the criterias in getting endorsement as a public figure, do you need to belong to a particular group/association before you get endorsement?”

A:“Criterias ranges from the company’s product to the interest of the company I.e everyone knows I am black diamond, there is no way I could get an endorsement from a lightening cream company … lol”

Q:“How much were you paid on your first acting job?”

A:“My first payment that I could actually boast of was from omo ghetto by Funke Akindele I acted as a police officer in the ghetto 1 or 2 scenes and got twenty thousand naira .”

Q:“Would you like to share your story on our platform?”

A:“Yes I would love to share my stories not just one on your platform .”

Q:“What else do you do aside acting?”

A:“This question puts smile on my face …. I am a certified gym instructor, an automobile dealer and a building construction manager and many more.”

Q:“Who are your close friends in the industry?”

A:“I am a friend to all.”

Q:“What are your future plans?”

A:“To find my voice on earth and help humanity.”

Q:“Would you like to name one or two of the admirers and what did they say to you when they approached you? ”

A:“The story is for another day. I am certain you understand better”

Q:“You are a friend to all but close to none I guess?”

A:“Yeah I am a friend to everyone both young and old no issues .”
