An ex Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Richard Omosehin got abducted by gunmen on Saturday at his residence in Igbekebo, the headquarters of Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the abduction on Monday and a search party had begun for the victim while an investigation into the matter had also commenced.
According to a source, the bandits numbering about six, came to the community on a speed boat and went to the private house of the victim where he was dragged into the boat, and they sped off.“The incident happened at about 2am on Saturday. Immediately, people invited the police, but by the time the policemen arrived at the place, the kidnappers had taken the man (victim) away. ” 
Monarch of Igbekebo town, Oba Simon Dabo,disclosed that the victim was allowed to call his wife from of the den of the kidnapper and the gunmen had demanded a sum of N100m for his release.
However,the State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, said efforts were ongoing to set the victim free unhurt.
