Governor Okpebholo Hails Warri Refinery Resumption as a Boost to Nigeria’s Economy

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has commended the reopening of the Warri Refinery, describing it as a significant breakthrough in Nigeria’s petroleum sector.

This follows the announcement by the Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, that the Warri Refining & Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) in Delta State has resumed operations with a production capacity of 125,000 barrels per day.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and the NNPCL for prioritizing economic reforms that are setting the country on a progressive path.

“With the Warri, Port Harcourt, and Dangote refineries working simultaneously, there is hope that the petroleum sector is taking a new turn,” he stated.
