Human Rights Activist and Barrister, Barrister Femi Falana said President Muhammadu Buhari is tired of governance and needs to return to his hometown before everything squashes .
He stated this while speaking at the protest ground conducted by the Nigerian Labour Congress at Lagos State Government Secretariat.
“As we speak our junketing president is on his way to Liberia to deliver a speech. he is tired of ruling and needs to rush back to his hometown.”he said.
He therefore Nigerians not to give up on their quest for good governance.He also thanked the NLC for organising the protest to save the soul of the education sector in Nigeria.Falana, however, noted that it is painful that despite the ongoing pains in the country the president is globetrotting.
He further urged Nigerians to compel the president to shun excessive borrowing saying Nigerians should demand that Buhari use money received from looters to revive Nigeria.
However ,Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was not available to address members of the Nigerian Labour Congress during the protest at the Governor was represented by Mrs Ajibola Ponle, the Commissioner for Lagos State Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions.
Ponle said he was out of the state to attend to other important assignments, adding that he’s not a failed governor and that he’ll hand the letter to the President.
