Friends Honour Seyi Tinubu in Grand Faith Initiative with One Million Bible Project

In an inspired initiative, one million copies of the Holy Bible will be distributed across Nigeria in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The announcement was made on Sunday during a thanksgiving service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, which drew Christian leaders and youth representatives from across the country.

The programme, coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), aims to promote moral renewal, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among young Nigerians.

According to Hon. Enwere, the initiative is not about celebrating an individual but about restoring moral values and strengthening the role of faith in nation-building.
He explained, “The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians.”

The thanksgiving service was simultaneously observed in about 40 churches nationwide, featuring prayers for national unity and moral revival.

Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led the service and offered special prayers for the Tinubu family and the nation’s leadership.

Clergymen from various denominations described the project as both timely and symbolic, given Nigeria’s ongoing struggles with corruption, insecurity, and a perceived decline in moral values.

Moreover, they noted that using the Bible as a tool for social change reflects a renewed interest in faith-driven leadership among the youth.

In a goodwill message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed deep appreciation to the organisers for the gesture and highlighted the importance of faith in national development.
He said, “Faith and moral education are vital for fostering responsible citizenship and supporting national development.”

Meanwhile, the first batch of the Bibles was officially presented during the thanksgiving service and will be distributed in the coming weeks.

The organisers confirmed that the Bibles would reach churches, schools, and youth ministries across Nigeria.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with a growing movement of faith-based civic programmes designed to inspire the next generation of leaders through values such as honesty, compassion, and service.

“This effort is about transforming our young people through the word of God,” he added. “It’s about changing lives and building a better Nigeria.”

The Bible distribution project is expected to begin within weeks, marking one of the largest faith-based outreaches of its kind in recent years.
