An elephant was gunned down in Kalomo’s Tara area according to the team from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife ( DNPW) in Kalomo which murdered two persons in the community .
From a report, the Kalomo District DNPW officer in Charge ,Kaunda Banda revealed that the animal is believed to be the one that killed two community members in Kanchele on Sunday.
Mr Banda has further urged community members to remain vigilant as wild animals are still in their communities. 
Kalomo District has been facing animal human conflict for over one month.At least two people have been killed while a number of community members have been attacked by wild animals since the time they invaded Kalomo District.
