The voting process at the GSS polling unit in Ofoni, the hometown of the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, in the Sagbama Local Government Area was disrupted following pandemonium caused by gunshots reportedly fired by some irate youths.
However, two of the three irate youths were said to have been arrested by a mob and handed over to security operatives while two women sustained gunshot injuries although their condition was not critical.
Although the voting process resumed after normalcy was restored and Ewhrudjakpo cast his vote at his unit of Ward 2, Unit 6, in Ofoni at about 10 am.He advised the electorate to be peaceful and orderly as a credible process would put the nation and state in good standing for better development.
