Afrobeats sensation Davido has responded to critics of his recently concluded Miami white wedding, declaring the lavish event “perfect in fact.”
The ceremony, which drew global attention and attracted a star-studded guest list including celebrities, politicians, and influential figures, has remained a hot topic across social media.
While supporters praised the event as a grand celebration of love, some critics have continued to debate certain aspects of the occasion.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Davido shut down the negative chatter and expressed unshakable pride in the celebration.
He described the day as “one of the best days” of his life and insisted nothing could change that.

“We had an amazing wedding, perfect in fact! Me and my wife body still dey sweet us like this… Nothing una fit do, say, or make up will ever change the fact that we had a fairytale wedding and one of the best days if not the best day of our lives! The whole world celebrated us!” the singer wrote.
The Miami wedding, tagged by many as a “fairytale wedding,” had trended for days as images and videos flooded the internet.
The mix of Nigerian and international guests, opulent décor, and emotional moments between Davido and his wife Chioma Adeleke cemented the event as one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings in recent years.
However, despite the wide praise, pockets of online criticism surfaced. Some questioned the extravagance, while others scrutinized specific details.
The singer’s response has also been hailed as an example of how public figures can reclaim narratives around their personal lives.
