Nigerian singer, songwriter and activist Charly Boy Oputa shared his experience In an uploaded video of himself before ,during and after his recent surgery to alleviate his prostate cancer ailment.
Although the hospital was undisclosed but situated at Lagos,he last week released the video to “encourage fellow men not be silent” over their prostate health issues.
In the video Oputa was still positive, fearless and as frank as he has always been.He still talked tough about how he would by Gods special grace defeat the ailment seen as one of the greatest killers of black men. 
“Gosh,I have fought one too many battles in my short life. Most of the times,I win.“Prostate Cancer cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, it cannot conquer dis spirit.”Abegi make una help me Thank God for giving me yet another chance,” he wrote in his Twitter handle.
According to him, “this is not the first battle I have fought and won and I will win this one by God’s grace”.He encouraged men to face the scourge of prostate cancer squarely by testing and seeking remedy earlier because early detection guarantees success in its treatment.
