Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has strongly criticised the country’s political leaders over their silence following a deadly attack in Benue State.
The incident, which took place in Yelwata, reportedly claimed the lives of about 200 people, leaving many in shock and grief.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, Bobrisky expressed anger and frustration over what he described as misplaced priorities by Nigerian lawmakers.
According to him, urgent meetings were previously held concerning his prison sentence, but no such action has been taken following the mass killing in Benue.
“Senator/house representative didn’t call urgent meeting over the kiling happening in Benue,” he wrote.
“But they can call urgent meeting when it comes to Bobrisky. Shame!!!! Shame!!!! Shame!!!”

The influencer questioned the values of a system that responds faster to entertainment scandals than national tragedies.
“What a shameful country,” he added.
This isn’t the first time killings have taken place in Benue State, which has long battled with insecurity and attacks allegedly carried out by suspected herdsmen.
Moreover, no emergency meetings have been reported since the incident occurred.
However, the most recent attack, which left hundreds dead, has become one of the deadliest in recent times.
