Hon. Florence Funlola Akinrinde, sister to Biola Adebayo’s estranged husband, Oluseyi Akinrinde, has broken her silence following the actress’s announcement of their quiet separation.

The politician and businesswoman took to Instagram to pour out her thoughts, sparking emotional reactions online.

Florence, who contested under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 National Assembly election for Ifo/Ewekoro Constituency in Ogun State, used the platform to defend her brother and express her side of the story.

Her words were heartfelt, revealing that Oluseyi had remained calm through the ongoing situation.

“My dear brother, just like we were taught from our early years to be strong and resilient,” she wrote, “you have always been a sweet guy.

You love unconditionally.” Florence added that Oluseyi had tried to save his marriage but was often misunderstood.

“Your open heart, love, and cravings to keep your home was misjudged for being too demanding.”

She noted that her brother still hoped for peace, saying, “You still want peace despite being bastardized and crucified wrongly.”

According to her, he even asked her to “talk to her [Biola] first to pull down the post.”

Florence’s post came after Biola Adebayo, also known as Ehin Oka, announced that her marriage had ended over a year ago.

In her post, the actress wrote, “Yes, you heard me right.

My husband and I have been separated since April last year.”

She also apologized to fans who felt disappointed, explaining that the journey had been painful.

“I cried alone in my bed while my works made people happy,” Biola wrote, revealing the emotional weight she carried privately.

She further emphasized that the decision to part ways was not taken lightly, but she had to choose her well-being and peace of mind.

Despite the separation, Biola noted that she and Oluseyi have agreed to co-parent their son respectfully.

The couple had gone through a tough fertility journey, facing failed IVF treatments and initial surrogacy setbacks.

In April 2023, they finally welcomed a child through surrogacy a moment that seemed to mark a new beginning.

Biola Adebayo and Oluseyi got married on April 7, 2021, just six months after they met.

Their love story once gave hope to many, making the news of the breakup even more unexpected.

The actress had been previously married in 2012 to a UK-based man named Ola, but that relationship also ended quietly.

While Oluseyi himself has remained silent, his sister’s post has painted a different picture of a man deeply committed to his home.
