Nigerian famous music star Asake has reportedly exited Olamide’s YBNL Nation following the expiration of his contract, opting not to renew his deal with the label.
According to entertainment blogger Cutie Juls, Olamide made several attempts to persuade Asake to sign a new contract, but the singer declined, choosing instead to pursue an independent path.
The blogger revealed, “Asake leaves YBNL and dumps Olamide. Insiders say Asake’s contract with Olamide’s YBNL expired, and when Olamide presented Asake with a new contract, Asake refused to sign.”
Despite Olamide’s efforts, Asake reportedly walked out of negotiations two weeks ago.
He is known for his chart-topping hits, including ‘Sungba,’ and achieving milestones such as selling out the O2 Arena twice. Asake’s decision to go independent marks a new chapter in his career, while YBNL may now be scouting fresh talents to fill the void.
