Nigerian singer Asake has reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi, after accusations of neglect surfaced in 2022.
Odunsi, who previously claimed his son abandoned him following a stroke, has now confirmed that Asake has reached out and promised financial assistance.
“His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me.
That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting,” Odunsi said in a recent video.
According to Odunsi, Asake has committed to securing a new house for him while also covering his medical expenses.
Furthermore, the singer has pledged to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.
“He has never denied his child, but he has now promised to take full responsibility for the child,” Odunsi added.
Additionally, it was revealed that Asake has already sent funds for his father’s treatment, and the medical process is expected to begin soon.
“Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled, no more problems. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything,” Odunsi stated.
The reconciliation has brought relief to the family, with Odunsi now expressing pride in his son.
Meanwhile, fans have applauded Asake for taking the necessary steps to mend the broken relationship.
