Eze Anaba has emerged as the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).He polled 250 votes to beat his closest rival Bolaji Adebiyi, the Executive Editor of Western Post newspaper who polled 81 votes.
It has been reported that the Guild’s biennial convention was held in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Friday.The event drew over 300 editors in Nigeria’s media industry, with the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma also in attendance.The theme for the conference is “Post 2023 Election: Promoting Professionalism for Enhancement of Democracy and good governance”.Prior to Anaba’s election, he was the Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
