American Star Beyoncé Loses Unreleased Music to Atlanta Car Theft

American music icon Beyoncé has suffered a major setback after hard drives and laptops containing unreleased music were stolen during a break-in in Atlanta, where her Cowboy Carter tour recently made a stop.

The incident happened while a rental car used by Beyoncé’s choreographer was parked at a city deck on July 8.

Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and backup dancer Diandre Blue were targeted when their Jeep Wagoneer was ransacked.

Atlanta police say two suitcases were stolen from the vehicle’s first level at 99 Krog St. NE. Among the missing items were “hard drives that contained watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans and past and future set lists,” the police report notes.

Additionally, two laptops went missing.
Grant reported around $1,000 worth of clothing, a $500 Tom Ford sunglasses pair, and a $750 Tumi book bag stolen from the car.

Meanwhile, Blue lost a MacBook Air and headphones.

The Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny from Auto Unit has taken charge of the investigation.

“Officers responded on July 8 after receiving a call regarding a theft from a vehicle,” they confirmed.

Authorities have since issued an arrest warrant for an unnamed suspect and urged the public to come forward with information that may help close the case.

Such materials are both commercially valuable and potentially harmful if released prematurely or manipulated.

Security risks rise sharply when unreleased music is stolen, as leaks can affect streaming numbers, marketing strategy, and directly impact the artist’s creative control.

In light of this theft, tour teams may need to adopt stricter protocols around transporting sensitive content.

Investigators are currently reviewing video footage and seeking tips from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the parking deck area.

Atlanta PD urges residents to remain vigilant and report any information that could lead to an arrest.

However, no arrests have been made yet, but officials expect updates soon as forensic work wraps up and potential leads emerge.
