Russia did not attend a world court hearing in a law suit brought by Ukraine seeking to halt hostilities in its territory.
According to Russia’s foreign ministry in his first public statement on the matter said he did not show up in court because of the’absurdity’ of the suit.
Russia did not attend hearings on Monday at the International court of justice in the Hague which is the UN Court for resolving disputes between nations.
Ukraine therefore argued that Russia had wrongly tried to justify it’s invasion on false assertions that it was attacking in self defense to prevent genocide.
