Afghanistan’s eastern Kunar province suffered Rocket attacks launched by the militants on Wednesday, and damaged a hospital in Asadabad city.
The Provincial Governor, Mohammad Iqbal Sayed who disclosed that the militants had fired several rockets in the attack upon Asadabad city, and one of them hit the hospital, burning the Vaccine Depot and the hospital facilities.
According to City health officials who disclosed that COVID-19 and polio vaccines were kept at the depot in the hospital.
Gov. Sayed also disclosed that two other rockets slammed into Asadabad’s residential area and damaged some houses.
He also added that the militants fighting against the Afghan Government launched rocket and mortar attacks on Asadabad city from Tuesday.
Although, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Kunar Province with Asadabad, as its capital, is 185 km east of the nation’s capital Kabul.
